Simply stated, joining the Illinois Park and Recreation Association will advance your career! As a leader in the field, membership in the IPRA will provide you with the continuing education, resources, networking opportunities and advocacy information needed to excel as a professional in the parks and recreation field.

Professional Membership

Individuals employed full-time in the field of parks, recreation or conservation. Classification includes employees of public and private agencies. Professional members may select one complimentary section and receive the benefits of the MARC card (Membership Activity Rewards Card).

Advocate Membership

Individual that is either a part-time employee working 20 hours or less as a support staff; any full-time educator in the field of parks, recreation or conservation; a person not working in the field of parks and recreation but has an interest in supporting parks and recreation; or an individual that is retired from working in the field of parks, recreation or conservation. Advocate members may select one complimentary section.

Student Membership

Individuals pursuing studies in the field of parks, recreation, conservation or related field that are not employed full-time by a parks, recreation or conservation agency. Student members may select one complimentary section.

Commercial Membership

Commercial membership, along with advertising and sponsorships of IPRA programs, identifies your organization as a willing and active participant in the advancement of parks and recreation for all. At the same time, you benefit from the promotional exposure given to your products and services. Commercial Members are: Individuals or companies that sell services or products to park, recreation and conservation agencies.
