IPRA's Cooperative Purchase Program provides members' agencies with the opportunity to purchase supplies in bulk with other participating agencies. The program began in the mid-1980s by a group of members looking to save money purchasing grass seed. The idea of consolidated their orders and going to bid together resulted in competitive pricing and reported savings of up to 60%. Participating in this program is an excellent way for agencies to save money and valuable employee time. The Cooperative Purchase Program also provides participating vendors the opportunity to bid on items specified by the Cooperative Purchase Committee on behalf of approximately 110 participating agencies throughout the state of Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity to generate business for your company, as well as to establish a relationship with the Illinois Park & Recreation Association and show your support for parks and recreation.
